So i took a swing w/ this one. I liked how it looked.. the shape is definately unique, and the retractable bars are a great touch.The product feels good, solid steel, probably 3-4 times heavier than the original OEM front bumper.The OVERAL installation was ok.. there are no instructions but they have a link tutorial step by step.Prep work and getting the fog lights was pretty straight forward... BUT THE HARDEST PART. was getting the bumper onto the steel base. The Bolts used are "secured" by these plastic tablets. however i encountered problems where if you were even a CM off, and the bolt hit the steel frame, the bolt would come right out of the plastic "secured" base,and fall out.. it was extremely annoying to be honest. then another problem I arrived at was the alignment/placement of the bolts w/ the jeep frame... the placement isnt set or aligned, . you will have to measure it out yourself to get it correct. .. finally the easiest way I found to do it was... (refer to my pictures). take red tape, and line it w/ the bolt hoes on your jeep frame... next (after you measured the correct distance of the bolt placement.. take a another line of tape and bring it up to the top of the bumper.. THIS WAY you when you connect the bumper, you line it up w/ the tapes, tadaaaaaa!After that, ratcheting the bolts was a breeze, and connecting your fog lights. also remember, the fog lights are now more toward the center so you will have to detach the harnesses holding the wires. not a big deal. Cable managment after and you got yourself a very unique bumper that will turn heads. I havent bought a winch yet, but there is a place for one.I live in NY so we need to have our license plate in the front, where there is no placement for. I had to DIY my own, which was not bad.Overall for the price and unique look, I think this is a great buy. there are many options for a stubby bumper but they are very expensive... might have better and easier installations, but I looked foward to trying new things.
