Lights are plug into harness perfectlyWas very easy & quick to install, ran into no issues at all. Product plastic is pretty cheap & fragile, but it doesn't look cheap on your Jeep once installed. Very bright reverse lights too, which is helpful for backing up at night. Here’s the deal. These things are a great deal for something that’ll smoke the tail lights and give it a cool look. They aren’t bright at all though. I’ve had multiple people pull up next to me and tell me they “aren’t working” because that’s how dim they are. They’ve worked for over a year great with no issues, just that they are very dim.Had to replace the factory lights due to a break, and went with these because of the look and positive reviews. All the lights do what they’re supposed to, and all the connectors were tight. As far as the brightness, if you were around for tinted taillight covers back in the the 90’s and 00’s then I would liken the brightness to that. I think they are fine however (and it could just be the drivers) I have noticed other cars getting closer to me than before when the brakes are applied. I was actually behind another Jeep that had these and found them to be no less eye catching than factory.Easy to install had them both installed in less than 5 minutes. They look good on."Upgraded" is a strong term here. This is the second time I've purchased these, I guess I forgot what the ad said the first time and I was under the impression from the images that they had fix the issues I had, that is not the case, all the same issues exist.1. Brightness: Edit: I lowered my rating to 2 stars, I finally saw my tail lights in direct sunlight and they get washed out pretty good, making them incredibly difficult to see. I just happened to be driving behind another jeep jk that had the same lights and even when the sun isn't directly shining on them they're hard to see in the day light while driving. when he applied the breaks the 3rd break light was significantly brighter than these tail lights.ORIGINAL COMMENTS--> overall the LED brightness is fine, I haven't lined them up the sun to see if direct light (i.e. morning/evening rush hour light) washed them out, but they're clearly visibly on a sunny day in general. THE PROBLEM is that there's not brightness shift when applying the brakes, all the red lights are same brightness and if your jeep doesn't have the 3rd brake light, it's entirely possible the person behind you won't know you're braking. The description incorrect and hasn't been updated in over a year an half, even after directly complaining and corresponding with the seller. The inside three bars are only the running light, the outside ring is the blinker and brake light. The reverse lights are worse than the stock ones, I guess they work as a signal to people behind you, but even in a very dark area you can't see anything behind you. You can swap the yellow and red wire inside the harness if you're of the aptitude to understand how to do that, they at least they'd match the description, but the brightness doesn't change and I think that makes it even harder to tell that you're braking.2. The resistor pictured: it isn't what's in the light, inside is a basic ceramic load resistor, it should do the job, but as I said this is my second pair, the first pair the resistor failed in one light, I don't know if it's a bad solder joint or a bad part, but the LED still works but acts light the resistor isn't present. We'll see how long this new pair last.3. the side marker: the stock lights have a window that allows the light to show out the side and be a side marker at night. these lights have that window, but there's not light there it's just dead space.4. they did upgrade the connector, but there's no seal, I would put dielectric grease in there to make sure you don't have any moisture issues.5 fit: they're a little snug, if you get them in place and bump them lightly with your palm you can get them in the right spot, but they don't go on as easy as the stock ones. they do fit right, once they're on.I really like the look of this tail light, I just wish they had put a little more effort into it, I would have paid more if the braking LEDs were brighter than the rest and backup LEDs were actually bright enough to be functional. If you have another solution for backup lights, these aren't a bad option option for the price, and there's not really anything else like them, you just need to know what you're getting. After reading all the reviews across Amazon in regards to LED cheap tail lights I was frozen to make a decision. Not interested in spending $200 plus but not one to throw money away on cheap Chinese tail lights either. Well, I went for it and purchase these and just installred them this morning. Install went smooth super easy. Of course these do not come with directions but you really do not need them. Two screws and off comes the old light then disconnect the plug. Then the reverse to install the new ones. I did notice if you just place the lights against the jeep the holes do not appear to lineup but if you look at the inboard rear of each light they have little hooks so when you place the new light against the Jeep you should start just an inch or so outboard from where the holes should line up then slide slide the light and board and it will snap into place and all the holes will lineup. I am very very happy with the look. I was wanting dark and that is what I got. All the lights seem bright enough with the exception of the reverse lights. Honestly, I do not think in my life I paid attention to my reverse lights until reading some of the comments in Amazon. But yes the reverse are not bright. Unless you were super unlucky and the delivery guy kicked the box out of the his truck and all the way to your door, they should get to you and be in one piece. I felt as though the packaging was good to keep the lights safe from slight rough handling during shipment. Bottom line, if these continue to function but I am going to hi5 myself for saving about $200 buying the JKsPerfect upgrade for our Jeeps. Very nice, easy to install. Highly recommendThey're decent. Look good, but reverse isn't bright. Adding aftermarket reverse anyway. No side markers though ? That may be enough to get pulled over. Time will tell.UPDATE- put OEM tail lights back on. 3 separate incidents I've had people tell me my "brake lights are out". They're not. Definitely too dim. Hence the no DOT approval stamp. Do yourself a favour and save your $ and buy something brighter AND safer!3/5My sister recently purchased a Jeep Wrangler and was looking to have LED tail lights installed. I purchased these LED tail lights for her as a Christmas gift and we installed it last night. We installed the lights straight out of the box and are really disappointed with the results:1. Part of the LEDs for the running light wasn’t working on the right tail light (see photos)2. The white reverse light on the left side is also flickering and not lit as expectedWe are disappointed with this product.I really liked the design of these lights. But after 2 years, almost to the day of installing them. The LEDs started dying. I’m quite disappointed.Buen producto, los conectores se adaptan al original del Jeep Wrangler 2013 Muy fácil de colocar y no requiere más que un destornillador de cruz. Buena apariencia. Llego antes de la fecha.Great value for your $, easy to install on any Jeep and came within a reasonable time frame
